Q & A: Is greed natural or unnatural?

Every trait we find in human beings, be it greed or gourmandise, compassion or cruelty, tendency to help or harm others: is natural, i.e. it springs from (natural)  evolutionary and genetic factors.

Cultures and civilizations, religions and traditions, prize some and devalue others.

Character and moral behavior result from the subtle cultivation of the positive traits (of which there are many). They often try to arrest and eradicate of the negative ones (of which also there are quite a few), such as greed.
