Q&A: If one had a choice what kind of family and nation should one choose to be born in?

(a) I would suggest a family where there is abundance of love and laughter, peace and harmony; where there is sharing with and shelter for strangers, respect for education, appreciation for art, music, and poetry, interest in science and sports, and some kind of enlightened religious outlook.

(b) As to country, since this is a hypothetical question, I will let my fancy ride wild and make up an imaginary country where there is social justice, free education and healthcare for all, prosperity, no pollution, sufficient military strength for self-defense, but no urge whatever to intrude into or conquer other nations; where there is only one ethnic group (whatever it is), only one religion (whatever it is), only one language (whatever it is); but a country which welcomes people from all over the world to visit, treats one and all visitors with respect, hospitality,  and cordiality; let them take as many pictures as they want, and then go back to where they came from (for this is the only way to ensure inner harmony).
