Is there any scientific way we can find out what happens after death?
Lots, in terms of the body’s organs, activities, and biochemical changes.
Zilch in terms of mind, soul, thoughts, and consciousness: if such persist.
Some sensible/realistic things one can do when a person dies is to recall the positive highlights of the person when alive, pray for the peace of the soul (if you are religious), and get on with our own lives until our turn comes.
Of course one may do many other things, as prescribed by various traditions, but these have nothing to do with science which says the book is closed for ever, with no physical or non-physical element here below or anywhere in galactic space or even beyond.
I am not saying this is right or wrong, soothing or shocking, but merely stating the general perspective of current science.
